Another Fun "Fall" Weekend

It was too hot to be a true fall weekend but we managed, although I am SO ready for some true fall weather!  While Caden wasn't feeling the best this weekend, at one point he had 103 temperature, and was finally diagnosed with croup and an ear infection (after two trips to the doctor), we still managed to have fun and do a few things!  We went to Oktoberfest.....in Hickory, not Germany, like some of our friends.  I bet the Oktoberfest in Germany was missing a few key things that we got to see in Hickory, for example, a lot of rednecks with mullets and cut-off jean shorts, almost 90 degree temperatures, every kind of fried food you can imagine, kiddie rides, and the list could go on.

We didn't stay too long because I didn't realize just how hot it was until we got out there.  So we wandered around for a little while, got some overpriced, not very good food, and Caden had ice cream and lemonade for lunch.  Mom of the Year right here. ;) Then we let Caden ride a few rides and we called it a day.
I was a little concerned that he may decide he was "all done" and try to get out of the car when it was in the air....luckily he loved it so instead he pitched a fit when he had to get out. :)

Caden riding the "choo choo train"...one of the cutest things he says is "all aboard" whenever he sees a train.
Sweet Mason just hanging out, he is such a good baby. :)

So this was Saturday and on Sunday we went to Toy Story on Ice and it was sooo much fun, but I'm going to make another post about that because I hear somebody waking up from a nap.
