A Whole New World

Wow, so a lot has changed since my last post, which was when I was 34 weeks pregnant!  Obviously baby # 2 is here, meet.......                

                                                         MASON CYLE RAINEY

Mason was born July 22, 2010 weighing in at 8 lbs 14 ozs and 21 inches long.  I was induced at 39 weeks exactly and had a much quicker, but not necessarily easier, labor and delivery than I did with Caden.  Hopefully, I will remember and have time to write out my birth story sometime soon before I forget, considering it has already been 2 months since I had him.  Speaking of, it is crazy to me that it has already been 2 months and I think it is true that once you have your 2nd that time goes even quicker. 

It has definitely been an adjustment going from 1 to 2 children, especially when you have a 1.5 year old and a newborn.  The first couple of weeks were very tough because Caden was constantly acting out trying to get attention and pretty much refused to listen to anything.  He also wasn't crazy about me breastfeeding Mason, and would get upset when I did.  Luckily though, since then he has gotten much better, and doesn't seem to be very phased by "Mase" (what Caden calls him).  I plan on doing a post soon about the cute things that Caden has done since Mason has been here. 

I love these two boys so much that my heart hurts sometimes when I think about it.  I am so excited to watch them grow up together and to watch their relationship develop.
